Our client is a global technology leader in the power management industry. They are looking for a Sr. HR Manager in their Van Wert, Ohio production facility supporting over 1,000 employees. RELOCATION IS AVAILABLE FOR THE RIGHT CANDIDATE.
We are looking for a strategic HR leader to oversee HR Operations plus organization development and culture change initiatives. This is a growth position and the successful candidate would be expected to move up and around the company, therefore some mobility would be desirable. Successful candidates will have shown progressive promotions in their 4+ years of previous HR experience.
The primary function of this position is:
Responsible to develop, implement and administer Human Resources policies, practices, strategies and services across Van Wert, OH plant.
Assure all Human Resources activities are compatible with progressive corporate values and mission.
Counsel and influence management/leadership regarding policies, practices, laws and regulations and monitor application to insure positive and equitable employee relations.
Lead the introduction and integration of new corporate programs and initiatives. Monitor all corporate programs.
Plan, develop and implement employee communication, recognition and motivational programs that enhance the working environment and aid in attracting and retaining superior talent.
Secondary functions include:
Administer employee relation's policies and procedures that are responsive to the needs of employees and customers; as well as compliment the client Philosophy and Values Statements.
Monitor performance management procedures to assure fair and equitable treatment for all employees.
Inform and train employees of Corporate and Divisional human resources policies and procedures.
Provide a resource for all managers and supervisors in the areas of Human Resources including guidance on motivating, counseling, and developing direct and indirect reports, as well we employee performance improvements. E. Represent the Company's programs, policies, and procedures in matters involving EEOC, AAP, and OFCCP.
Develop, implement and monitor compliance with affirmative action policies that meet federal and state legislation as well as Corporate policy.
Direct and coordinate the recruitment, selection and promotion process of applicants to meet salaried requirements.
Coordinate training and development programs, including new employee orientation, to meet the needs and objectives of individuals and departments.
Manage the performance appraisal system, salary planning and the OCA process.
Conduct, coordinate and monitor employee meetings and involvement programs.
Represent the Van Wert, OH facility in community activities. Administer local charitable contributions, including United Way.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Master's degree in human resources or an MBA with a human resources concentration.
Specialized knowledge of the interpretation of laws, regulations and standards, and enforcement agencies for equal employment opportunities, safety, wage and hour, unemployment, workers' compensation and labor law.
Managerial skills in budgeting, wage and salary administration and employee relations.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
Minimum 4 years of experience in HR
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
Travel: Up to 10 percent
Relocation benefit provided: Yes (US/PR Only)

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
