DescriptionDesign and develop detailed product part and assembly drawings for use in the manufacture of toolboxes, chests, carts and other items as directed using established industry and Company engineering standards.
Use precision measuring instruments, computer assisted design software and both verbal and written instructions to produce, edit and transfer drawings.
Prepare BOMs, support customer/sales requests of product configuration, costing, support manufacturing processes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESReview sample parts, sketches and written product descriptions submitted by others to develop project plans.
Make product/part and assembly drawings using 3D modeling software in accordance with industry and Company standards.
Use various measuring instruments to collect data to be used to produce product part and assembly drawings.
Update project plan and analyze product, test data and reports to determine if the design meets functional performance criteria.
Participate in Design Reviews.
Confer with internal stakeholders and outside suppliers to clarify or resolve design, production or quality problems and develop a plan of action.
Assist with design for manufacturability review for all parts and assemblies.
Confer with various suppliers and/or other engineering personal and prepare design modifications and update product drawings.
Review current product part and assembly drawings for cost reduction opportunities and suggest design changes/modifications.
Provide written progress and status reports.
Communicate production and quality problems in written form and advise suggested measures to resolve problems.
RequirementsEducation and ExperienceBachelor's degree (B.
S.
) or equivalent from an accredited four-year college or technical school in a design-related field of study (e.
g.
, tooling design, mechanical engineering design), and a minimum of two years' related experience and/or training:
or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Mechanical aptitude with respect to use of measuring equipment, sheet metal forming, and welding is required.
Specific SkillsThis position must have the ability to apply concepts of algebra and geometry to sheet metal layouts and product construction documents and drawings.
Can calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.
Ability to define a problem, collect data, establish facts, and make a valid conclusion to solve a problem.
Must have the ability to understand and interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions both in written and verbal form as well as in mathematical or diagram form, and deal with several concrete or abstract variables at one time.
Must be able to work from both written and oral instructions.
Can seek answers to simple problems on their own initiative before seeking counsel from others within the organization.
Must be able to communicate effectively with employees inside and outside of the organization.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, engineering standards, operating manuals, work instructions and procedure manuals.
Must possess the ability to write routine project status and test reports and engineering correspondence.
Systems (hardware, software, computer, etc.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
